So we received our pre-approval Thursday August 5th! I believe it was only a little over a week after we turned in our Letter of Intent (LOI) stating that we would like to adopt Jaxon. Normally this takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks to receive. The pre-approval means that China accepts our LOI & we now have until November to turn in our Dossier. We are in the process of having all of our paperwork certified & authenticated as is required by the new Hague rules. Our homestudy is also under review with our agency. Once we receive the O.K. on our homestudy we will submit our USCIS application to the immigration office & then have our fingerprints done.

Once all of this is complete & our dossier is compiled, we will send it all of to China to be Logged-In. Then it is averaging 7-9months after that til we get our "official" referral to Jaxon. We are thinking travel will be sometime in the spring, but we really have NO way of knowing for sure. The Chinese New Year is also around that time, so we could be sped up or slowed down from that.

Right now we are just praying for a smooth process & are trying to come up with ways to help pay for all of this. We will be launching a t-shirt fundraiser & possibly a coffee one too. Yard sales & lots of cutting back financially will be taking place. In the end it will all be worth it when we have Jaxon home & we become a family of 6!
