I spoke with our adoption agency today too & looks like it will be around May before we can travel to China to get Jaxon. This really brought my mood down fast. I kept telling myself that we would be traveling in the spring. I figured it would move a little faster then it did with Graysen because we had a hard time booking our consulate appt in his province. Our agency said that we more than likely would not have our dossier done before our deadline of November 4th, so they would ask for an extension. This is not unusual. Hopefully we will have it turned in by mid Nov at the latest. They said it would likely be 3 months after we turn in our dossier until we get our LSC (Official Referral) & then another 3-4 months before we travel.
I also asked about updates on Jaxon since the only one we have is from our original paperwork from where we locked his file. This information was from Jan 2010. As most of you know with Graysen we found a group that had visited Graysen's orphanage 2yrs in a row & posted pics of the children at the orphanage. This is how I got lots of updated pics of Gray without asking. This was such a blessing & spoiled me. This time around (though I google everyday) I haven't been able to have such luck with Jaxon. This is hard on me. Our agency encouraged us to wait til it was closer to the time to travel before we ask for an update since we are only allowed one request. This way we can submit some questions in preparation for meeting him. I am dying to see pictures!
Well that is about it for now. I am slowly going crazy, but praying daily that God is keeping Jaxon safe & healthy until his forever family can come & get him. Please join me in praying for him & for a speedy process!
