A Year

A year is a long time and a children can change so much in a year. I put in a request for updated medical information and photos on Jaxon. It occurred to me that our referral photos are from when he was 11mos old and he is now 2! He will look totally different! Kind of scary.

When we adopted Graysen our referral picture (the 1st pic we ever saw of him) was when he was 1 1/2yrs old.

Then next updated photo we received was from me googling his orphanage. I found a blog where a group had visited his orphanage and there was this little 2yr old with the same lip scar that our soon-to-be son had! One of the lovely couples sent us all the pics they had of our son! This was such a blessing & a little bit of a shocker since he was 6mos older than the pictures we received with our referral. He had changed so much in only 6mos!
Jaxon's referral information and photos are from when he was 11mos old. This was the first picture we saw of him.

Jaxon turned 2yrs old on February 4th. So we are talking a whole year has gone by since this picture was originally taken! This scares me since Graysen had changed so much in only 6mos and now we are talking about a whole year! Here is a pic of Graysen at 11mos old next to his 2yr old pic. Very big change!

So the time frame for updates is 1-2 weeks. I will be on pins & needles til then. Graysen has a Dr. Seuss book called "Oh the Places You Will Go". It talks about how everyone goes to the "waiting place". Story of my life!

Blessings,
Tracey
