Our MI & IN Trip/Thanksgiving!

Well, we had a LONG, but very fun trip up north for Thanksgiving.  We started out the Friday before Turkey Day at my sister's house so that Ashley & Kaitlynn could go to see New Moon together.  They loved the movie & I am jealous that I haven't seen it yet.  We then headed out at 4am to begin our over a week long trip.  We had a nice car ride since Graysen & Ashley slept most of the way up.

Our first stop was my cousin Kim's house in Algonac.  We hung out with my mom's side of the family & everyone was so sweet to take time out of their Saturday to visit with us.

Our next stop was to my dad's side of the family...the Sibarys!  We enjoyed a great spaghetti dinner & dessert.  Then my Aunt Carolyn broke out the kiddie music set & Graysen played the cymbals while little Jake played the harmonica.  It was loud, but cute!

After a night at my Aunt Carolyn's we then headed to a hotel.  This was a welcome relief since Graysen had a bad cold & just needed to rest without having to visit anyone.  Ashley & I headed to Dave & Buster's to have dinner with some of my old high school friends Tina, Andrea & Beth.  I hadn't seen Beth in 18yrs!  She looked the same!

The next day we headed to see another old friend, Barbie.  I have been friends with her since we were 5!  Haven't seen her either since I was 16!

After that we made a stop at Aaron's cousin's house to visit with her family & meet her newly adopted daughter Aliya.

She was such a cutie and all of Julie's kids were so well behaved!  We were then off to the Grand Rapids side of MI to stay with Aaron's parents.  Graysen by this point was getting more sick.  We called his doctor back in Knox & they suggested we take him to an urgent care.  A few hours later & we were back at my in-laws house with 3 different medications.  We took a mini-trip to Grand Rapids just to eat at Yesterdogs.  This is a hotdog joint that Aaron used to frequent when he was in college.

My father-in-law was being a pain about getting his pic taken!  We had plans to meet with friends but really wanted to keep it low key so that Graysen would be better by Thanksgiving.  We had a great time with Aaron's family & that night headed to South Bend, IN to my best friend Sara's house.  We arrived about 11:30 & then headed Ashley, Sara, baby Ella & I headed out to do Black Friday shopping!!!  Sara & I used to do this every year together when we lived in Savannah.  It was fun to be able to do it again!  Here is Sara in the minivan feeding Ella while we were hoping the line to ToysRus would go down!

After not having any sleep in over a day, we headed to my brother-in-laws to hang with his family.  We got cleaned up & then went to have lunch with Aaron's other brother & his family from Chicago.  We hadn't seen them in a long time.

After lunch we headed to a park so the cousins could play together.

Our night ended with a movie.  We saw Planet 51 which was very cute & then had a great dinner prepared by my brother-in-law Adam.  Early that next morning we headed home.  We were so happy to be back home, but do miss being close to all of our friends & family.  Love you all!!!

Blessings,
Tracey
