What Am I Doing?!

Ever since becoming Graysen's mom, I have found myself doing things that I haven't done in years! Corey & Ashley are 16 & 14 now, so it has been a long time since I have had a toddler in the house. I couldn't help but wonder 'What am I doing?' the other day when I stopped early at the train tracks so that I would get caught by the train. Graysen loves trains & smiles so much when we get to watch a train go by.

I have also found myself becoming a human sun shield, a horse, a wrestler, pretending to die when he fights me & getting excited over the smallest things because they make him excited! I love my kids & have to remind myself daily to just relax & enjoy life through their eyes.

This Christmas is going to be so special because we have Graysen home with us and we are all going to be together. We get to have Santa back in our home and experience all the magic of Christmas again with our little guy. I can't wait to see him walk down the stairs on Christmas morning & see that mommy wasn't lying when she said that Santa would bring him presents & put them under the tree.

Graysen thinks he needs to be in the picture everytime I take a pic of the tree.

One of his big presents this year is a ride on the Polar Express.  I rented the movie for him to watch a few weeks ago & he LOVED it.  So we got tickets for one nearby & can't wait to put him in his jammies & have him board a real train to see Santa!  We also are heading to the zoo on Saturday for a visit with Santa.  We get to have cookies & milk with him.

I also put out the manger the other day & we have started talking about baby Jesus.  At this age, Santa is a little easier to understand than Jesus, but we are working on it.  Everytime he sees the manger, I tell him that it is baby Jesus & he was born to take away our sins.  To a 3yr old Santa wins because he is bringing toys...maybe next year he will be able to get it a little better.

Blessings,
Tracey
