Heartbroken

My heart is so broken for a fellow adoptive family. I have frequented their blog for a few years now & they have their hands full at their house. They have 4 bio children & have brought home 5 special needs children from China! They are in the process of adopting another little girl and felt God leading them to also adopt a 2nd little girl at the same time. They have been rushing to get all their new paperwork redone to include both girls. They recently shared on their blog www.nihaoyall.com that their newest little one, Esther, waiting for them in China has passed away due to heart issues. This saddened many. This family is amazing & loves God so much. They do awesome work with bringing awareness to the Special Needs children of China.

It is hard to explain to people outside the adoption world how you can love a child you have never met or held in your arms. It is hard for them to understand how you will fight with everything you have to get to your child on the other side of the world. That you love your child despite only seeing them in a picture. That this child is yours just the same as your children that are already home. I guess you could say that it is like a mother being pregnant & loving the child growing in her belly. To find out that something has happened to your child on the other side of the world is devastating. You protect your children every day, but with adoption they are in someone else's care. You have to trust that God is providing for them, loving them & watching over them always. It is a hard thing...a faith thing.

So my heart goes out to this family. May God help them through this & remind them that they will meet her one day in Heaven.

Blessings,
Tracey
