We get to the area where they look at our passports & Aaron had our departure cards in his passport. They separated us into different lines. The pain in the butt lady I ended up with tried to put Jax as Gray in the computer & then tried to make me get out of line because I didn't have a departure card for Ashley. Finally Aaron handed it over & they let us go. She was rude & I don't think it was because of a language barrier. We then have to put our luggage through ANOTHER xray machine & then we walk into a large room where everyone is still waiting 5mins before the train leaves. Once we get on the train we look like the crazy people who have lost their minds. Aaron was dripping in sweat & Jax was covered in food & barefoot. Yup we are officially hillbillies.
The train ride was nice & saw a lot of the countryside of China, but once we were at the train station in Hong Kong it again went crazy. We decided to catch a taxi after we had some McDs. As soon as we sat down a man who rents out his van decided to target us & harrass us to let him drive us to our hotel. He was so persistent that I literally thought Aaron was going to hit him & anyone that knows Aaron knows he is VERY patient. He finally went away & we ate. Then amazingly we got an awesome taxi driver who managed to fit ALL of our luggage into the taxi. We were packed & even had bungee cords holding our luggage in the trunk...LOL. The hotel is amazing...very modern which makes Ash & I are happy! Too bad it was for a very short visit.
We are now getting ready to leave in an hour for our shuttle to the airport next door & then a 15hr flight to Newark where Jaxen will become a US Citizen!!!! I am so ready to be back in America! Please keep us in your prayers...we are going to need it! We are due to land in Newark at 2pm Thursday & then a little layover before we head home.
Blessings from Hong Kong,
Tracey
