It is awesome here! We love Guangzhou & it is the one place in China that I could possibly live. It is so much like Savannah, GA! The moss on the trees, the square blocks & the historic buildings. The only downfall is the many, many shops that make a living off the adopting families. They try every time to get you into their shop. They will even walk with you a bit & ask you questions about your child before they hand you a card for their shop. We love the location of the White Swan hotel, but our room is smaller than we had at the Sheraton in Guiyang & a bit dated. They are closing this hotel Sept 16th for a whole year of renovations. Our guide said they will then reopen with higher prices. That may scare away a LOT of adopting families.
After we finished eating Subway, the boys all laid down for a nap. Ashley & I headed to Starbucks a block away. We got some frapps & a blueberry cheesecake. We just sat outside & watched the many modeling shoots going on. It was so nice. It seems like everyone here is either a model or a photographer. They all kept looking at Ashley since she is tall & beautiful. She is starting to feel a lot more comfortable here. We had our guide write down the foods we want to order from the Chinese restaurant across from our hotel for dinner. Tomorrow we might try an Italian place or a little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant our guide said is very good & cheap (all of Aaron's fav things)!
Tomorrow we might head to the Christian Church here & then after lunch is a tour of the Chen Family Museum where we will get Jax's Chop (stamp) & scroll like Graysens.
Blessings from Guangzhou,
Tracey

Enjoy Guangzhou. It's always wonderful to be able to walk safely again.

Congrats on your new little one! He is a dear!
I'm looking for patriotic pictures of adopted kiddos (with or without other siblings) to post on www.wearegraftedin.com for the 4th of July. If you have any you'd like to share--maybe you'll take some at your CA?--we'd love to have your pics included! Let me know!
